one week in Exeter

one week in Exeter:

Accommodation: stayed in a much cheaper as compared with Glasgow. There’s no free lunch in this world, but overall is still fine, facilities are good, we are well taken care of. Other housemates: 3 from China, 1 from Ghana. All together: 2 males 3 females

Welcome Programme: I only attend some essential events, skipped others like banking, living in the UK, etc matters.

Weather: warm and sunny most of the time.

Lab: very busy, need to fill in knowledge gaps, do a lot of readings, and have to learnt many new skills soon, and need proper time management as well

Hello Exeter

According to Wikipedia(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exeter), Exeter is a city and district in Devon, which situated in south east of the England.The city has a population of 111,076, and tourism is one of the activities that contributes to the city’s economy.

As compared with Glasgow, Exeter is a small town, and all supermarkets, banks, etc are gather on high street, which is very convenient for me. Average temperature is 3-4 degree Celsius higher than Glasgow. For the moment, I think the weather is better than Glasgow. (unlike windy and rainy weathers in Glasgow, but Glasgow is still a lovely place for me, haha).

I have been here twice, therefore I know this place quite well. I will share more info about this city, after I fully explore it..

Good University Guide 2010

The latest Good University Guide published TIMES ONLINE. This will gives students a clear guideline to select their preferred university. Anyway, there are many factors to be considered other than a university's ranking. In my opinion, there is no difference in top 20 unis (or even top 30). In fact, The difference is marginal.
