Some funny job titles
A recent article I read in the Sun (UK), about some funny job names imposed by the city council here.
Librarian-->audience development officer
Nursery teachers-->early childhood educators
Swimming teacher-->aquatic teacher
Lollipop ladies-->crossing patrol officers
Also, some “names” invented by the respective firms:
Window cleaners-->vision clearance executives
Bin men-->waste removal engineers
Gardeners-->horticultural maintenance officers
Dinner ladies-->nourishment production assistants
Conclusion, is there any different between new job name and the duty/ nature of job task?!.
haha

new UK visa rules
Six months ago, several countries including Malaysia were warned to improve their their passport security systems or face tougher visa requirements. Luckly, 6 of these - Botswana, Brazil, Malaysia, Mauritius, Namibia, and Trinidad and Tobago - were adjudged to have improved sufficiently to escape the new rules.
Wow, what's a great relief, especially for my friends that intend visit to here.
For info, feel free visit the following link:

**note: for tourism (visiting) purpose. For study, we have to apply student visa. For more info, please refers to the respective authority.

Fruit, seed, legume or nut?
Peanut: not a nut, but a type of legume
Pine nut: obviously a seed—not nuts here
Brazil nut: is definitely a seed
Coffee: don’t be fooled into thinking this is a bean; it’s a seed
Coconut: officially a fruit, but the edible section is a seed (haha, definitely not cocoa's nut)
Cashew nut: a variety of fruit that grows on cashew apple
Banana: a fruit, but the banana plant is in fact, a herb, not a tree
Almond: a drupe, which is a type of fruit or seed
Chilli pepper: a very hot fruit
Chickpea: a legume from a pod
Adapted from The shortlist ten--www.shortlist.com

impact of climate change on the world's food security
Recent study a group of researcher in the US showed that higher temperature could cause problem on food security. Estimated 50% world's population could face food crisis by 2010.
Higher temperatures could decrease the productivity of major food crops like rice, maize by 20-40%
The estimation was made based on temperature stress alone, and this doesn’t take account into other stresses like salinity, drought, etc.
Again, developments of crop plants that have better adaptability are crucial.
