Went to New Castle, situated in the
North East of England. It has a population of
250,000 but including the surrounding urban area its
population is almost 1 million. Newcastle was founded around 2,000 years ago as a Roman fort. The city has now re-invented itself as a cultural centre and Science City, and is possibly one of the trendiest places in the UK (Wikitravel). We departed at 655am and reached @ 930am, spent 7h there and came back to Glasgow. Managed to visit-->Grainger Market, China Town, St. James Park Stadium, New Castle United Football Club, Tyne Bridge, Swing Bridge, High Level Bridge, Millenium Bridge, Monument Mall,Hatton Gallery, Newcastle University, Castle Keep, Black Gate and Moot hall.
